RIP Pete James ...
I am so so unprepared to say 'goodbye' to that wonderful man. Just only spoke to Pete James
on Thursday as we planned to meet and discuss me portraying Pete at his
home. So very sad to hear the news... Rest in peace you warm and
beautiful man.
He was the one who so strongly believed in my photography that he took it to Tate in London at the time we worked on Emma Barton's archival project... and he was the one who once said that Barbara and I as Gibson/Kochanek ware "The photographers that makes the history of this city".
Pete was such a honest supporter...
Last time we met in January, Pete brought Proseco as it was his first
visit in our new home in Bearwood... I remember him enjoying Barbara's
home made cheese cake saying how proud he was of his kids.. his son
leaving home to start new journey and daughters' great achievements at
Uni. We knew of his health problems but I remember I could not stop
complimenting on how great he looked that day. He really did.
He will be missed terribly. Such a big loss... our deepest condolences to the family.
